REGULAR MEETING August 13, 2018
Samuel Brown, 222 East Navarre Street, South Bend, IN, stated that he recently took a bus tour
when a drug deal took place in front of the drughouse that has been bringing to the Council's
attention for the past two (2) years.
Jason Banicki-Critchlow, 3822 West Ford Street, South Bend, IN, stated that the City needs to put
more money into infrastructure like cleanliness of bike lanes and the more frequent repaving of
streets instead of on"once-in-a-generation"projects.
Sharon Banicki, 3822 West Ford Street, South Bend, IN, stated that she too was on the bus tour
and stated that those who were on the tour who were not used to seeing drug deals—which she
also stated are common on the west side—need to put their money toward public safety. Ms.
Banicki thanked the SBPD for raiding four (4) homes associated with drugs and thanked
Councilmember Regina Williams-Preston for hosting the bus tours.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Council, President Tim Scott adjourned the
meeting at 9:15 p.m.
15
