Southfield Lake Annexation Area 5 J. Municipal Legislative District The Annexation Area will be in the 5th District. K. Hiring Plan It is anticipated that this annexation will not result in the elimination of jobs for employees of any other governmental entities. The Centre Township Trustee has been notified of this Annexation. SECTION III. MUNICIPAL SERVICES A. Public Works Sewer -The public sanitary sewer network is available with sufficient capacity to serve this area and more. The City of South Bend constructed and maintains a sewage lift station in the annexation area that has sufficient capacity to serve the annexation area as well as already developed land and other vacant land in the general vicinity of the annexation area. The developer of this property will need to extend sewer lines to the site from various locations adjacent to the annexation area to the extents of this proposed development as well as all other public works infrastructure required for the development. The wastewater treatment plant and downstream collection facilities are adequately sized to handle the additional flow from any development. Revenues from the development of the site will be sufficient to provide sewage collection and treatment services to the site. Water - A 8" water main is located on Deerfield Train that terminates at the eand of the road. There is a 10" water main on the west side of Miami Street running to 150' south of Ridge Trail. Flow test data from June 8, 2001 Ridge Trail indicate a static pressure of 54 psi, residual pressure of 48 psi and a flow rate of 1060 gpm. Depending on the development, it may be necessar}~ to loop the water mains to provided adequate capacity to the annexation area. Extensions of, or taps into sanitary sewer and water lines shall be governed by I.C. 36-9-22-2, I.C. 8-1.5-3 and 4, and the rules and regulations of the South Bend Water Works and Sewer Utility. Street Lighting -The developer of this property will be required to install a street lighting system. Additional revenue to the General Fund from this annexation area will be sufficient to pay for street light operations. Waivers of Annexation - No waivers of annexation are in effect for the Annexation Area.
