Please find attached a proposed site plan for the <br /> project. <br /> The adjacent land uses include single-family residential to the north across Prairie Avenue, <br /> zoned "SF2", a restaurant to the east, zoned "LB", residential apartments to the south, zoned <br /> "MF2" and vacant land to the west zoned "LB". <br /> It is understood that the special use exception meets the following standards: <br /> (1) The proposed use will not be injurious to the public health, safety, comfort, community <br />' moral standards, convenience or general welfare; <br /> The location of the new, larger fire station will continue to promote and improve the public <br /> health, safety, comfort, community moral standards, convenience and general welfare of the <br /> neighborhood. The larger fire station is designed to accommodate current equipment. <br /> (2) The proposed use will not injure or adversely affect the use of the adjacent area or <br /> property values therein; <br /> The existing fire station is approximately Y< mile east of the proposed site. The parcel to the <br /> west is currently vacant. The restaurant property to east will not be adversely affected.
