. . �� ' MEETING November 8, 1937 Regular meeting of the Baard of Public Safety viras held at 9:00 A. M. , Monday, November 8, 1937. All members were present. PJlinutes of the previous meetin� were read and approved. R�equisitions in the Police Department numbers 921 to 930 and in the Fire Department numbers 03885 to 03900, inclusive, were approved. Claims in the �mount of �1,447.02, from the Pollowing suppliers, were a�proved and ordered paid, also payroll for the first half of November amounting to �19,131.66. ELECTRICAL DII'ARTMIIVT - lJtr. �,ualls present: Mr. �,ualls reported on the operations in his department during the last week. POLICE DEPARTMF�T - Chief Lane present: The Chief submitted report of enforcement activities of the Traffic Bureau, a copy of which is on file in the office of the Board of Public Safety and a copy sent to each member of the Board. Ernest Miller, City Traffic �ngineer, reported with reference to the congestion of traffic at the Junior and Senior High Schools during the noon hour and in the early evening and submitted a solution of the matter, as outlined in his report on file in the office of the Board of Public Safety. The Board concurred in this report and gave orders to have same carried out. Applications for positions on the Police Department were presented by Earl Dickson, Donald Glen Pollom and Max J. Dobbelaere, which v�ere ordered placed on file. PIEIGHTS & PdEASURES DEPAFc'I'PJI�dT - ?�Ir. Burns present: IJIr. Burns submitted his report of the oper�tions of his depart- ment for the week ending November 6th, showing 238 inspections made. This report is on file in the office of the Board of Public Safety.
