The Chief reported that Capta.in John Farkas, while testing new Seagrave equipment v��ith a representative of the Seagrave Corpor�tion, was �ecidentall,y thro�nn to the pavement, v�Then br�kes of the apparatus t^rere applied, necessitating treatment at Epworth Hospital and undoubtealy a l�y-off �'rom active duty �'or sever�l weeks. The Chief reouested the privilege of purchasin� hose for the various compznies consisting of 3/4", 1-�-r' and 21j. There being sufficient appropri�tion in the Gener�.l Fund for this hose, tne Board authorized the purch�se. The Chief reouested that a fire box, which is no�� in stock, be installed at the corner of LaFayette and Colfax Avenues. The Board instructed him to get in touch with IdIr. Qualls �nd have this insta_Il- ation made. FLrCTRICAL DEPARTP�f�TT - Tl�r. �,uallc present: Mr. �,u�lls submitted the September report of the Police Radio St�tion, a copy of which has been furnished each member of the Board and copy pla_ced on file. T,4r. �,ualls v�ras instructed to confer v�rith the Fire Chief for the installation of new fire box at LaFayeti�e and Colfax Avenues. POLICL DEPARTNlENT - Assistant Chief Diedrich present: The Septer�ber report of the Tr��ff ic Bureau tivas submitted wnd �. copy furnished each member o�' the Board and a copy placed on file. Continuation certific�:tes on surety bonds in favor of the follot�:�ing officers were approved and �ttached to original bonds: Vernon E11is, Russe7.l D. Hampton, Otis Cunningham, Claude L. Brooks a.nd Willi�xn Diedrich. City Traffic �gineer Miller reported his investigation of' the intersection of East Bronson Street a.nd South Rush Street an d recommended that a stop sign be placed at the south approach of Bronson Street on Rush. The Board concurred in this report and ordered the sign erected.
