This request
was granted.
Traffic igineer Miller recommended that the overhead traffic
signal at 141iami Street and Indiana Avenue be removed, due to the
traffic being insufficient to justify an overhead signal. The Board
concurred in this recomnendation and instructed Mr. Miller to carry
out suggestions made.
Traffic Engineer Miller recommended that the overhead traffie
signal, at ck nham Drive and Lincoln Way East be removed, on account
of the accident record at that location, due to violations of
the signals on account of very low volume of traffic experience. The
Board concurred in this recommendation and ordered the signal removed
at once and Lincoln Ulay East made a preferential highway by placing
stop signs on Twyckenham Drive.
Traffic Eagineer Miller reported that he had interviewed a good
many business men in the vicinity of sore of the factories, who have
complained about unlimited parking in front o' their places of
buiness and that he vould recommnd Three Hour Parking signs be
established vahere such calls are made, which vould have the effeet of
limiting the parking, although regulation wauld be difficult. The
Board, after discussing this matter, decided to try it out and
Mr. Miller was requested to establish a fevl of these zones and vatch
the results.
