Bend Supply Co. 2.67 <br /> FIRE DEPA.RTIy'IENT - Chief Freeh present: <br /> TJlatters pertaining to the operation of the rire Department were <br /> discussed �^rith the Chief. <br /> The Chief requested the privilege of purchasing the following <br /> supplies for various Hose Houses: 1 Dozen Chairs for Central Station, <br /> ne��: screens for windotivs for iVo. 11 Hose House and lavm mot�er for <br /> No. 10 Hose House. Permission was �i�ren to the Chief to m�ke these <br /> purchases. <br /> The Chief' reported that a coramittee of firemen desired an <br /> audience �vith the Board to discuss wi�h them the possibility of <br /> establishing former salary o�' �170.00 r�er month for firemen. The <br /> Board advised the Chief they �r:ould be glad to receive such a committee <br /> at any time. <br /> ELECTRICAL DEPARTD.4IIVT - 'VIr. Qualls present: <br /> Matters pertaining to the operation of the Electrical Depart�nent, <br /> particularly the traffic signals at the Bottle Neck and on Lincoln <br /> �;uy �";est ti•yere discussed and plans made for installation. <br /> POLICE DEPARTMENT - Chief Lane present: <br /> The r.iatter of �urchasing t�tiTo additional new motorcycles was <br /> discussed and �i�t was deciided to �urchase two netiv Indian i•o'totorcycles, <br /> the s�e as ti�ere purchased earlier in tne year, and that one Henderson <br /> TJlotorcycle be used as a trade in. <br /> The Chief submitted a report of the ballot of the members af the <br /> Police Depart?�.ent in reference to the purchase of uniforms for one <br /> year from this date, it being shown by itemized ballot that the <br /> follozving was the result: <br /> A. G. Meier & Co�npany for the period of a year v�rith tne understanding, <br /> of course, that should any defect in worlQnanship or quality arise <br /> that the matter vaas sub�ect to reconsideration. <br /> Application for position on the Police Departr�ent was received <br /> froin �tiallace Ray Zirnmerman and ordered placed on file. <br /> Official bond in the i�daryland Casualty Company in favor of <br /> Joe �2illard, special police officer employed by ���ilson Bro�hers, was <br /> approved by the Board. <br />
