J� - NIEETING April 12, 1937 Regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Tvlonday, April 12, 1937, at 9:00 A. T�I. All members were present. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Renuisitions in the Police Department numbers 518 to 530 and in the Fire Department numbers 03685, 6 and 7 were approved. C�,ualls present: Mr. �,ualls submitted a cor.ununica.tion for changing various police c�.11 boxes from Sergeant Claude Keller. This matter was referred to the Chief of Police f'or investigation as�.d recommendation. POLICE DEPARTMENT - Chief Lane present: The Chief submitted report of the activities of the Police Departrlent for the m.onth of Ifarch, which report is on file in the office of the Board of Public Safety. . A netition signed by ten persons requesting the enforcement of time limits for �arking on tne east side of Chapin Street from Ford Street to Orchard Street wa_s presented to the Bo�.rd a.nd referred to Officer P�Jliller �'or investigation �.nd recommendation. . Accident report was made by Officer GembarzeUrski addressed to Assista.nt Chief Diedrich occurring at E�raing Avenue and IJlichigan Streets on A?�ril llth. This re�ort z��as referred to the Chief of Police for further investigation and a full report to the Boa_rd. Officer Plliiler presented an ite�ized list of the traffic signs wnich it is hoped can be purcha�ed for the cos�plete change of present system oi par�ing ar.d s�eed li�it regula.tions. Prices are being secured from various manufacturers. Report will be ma.de at a later meeting of the Board. Communication from G. E. Bursley & Company, Elkhart, oper�:ting wholesale grocery business at �Vestern Avenue and RZain Street, rea_uesting nore narking space on tne south side of their building, v�a.s nresented to the Board znd referred to Officer Pvliller f'or investigation and report.
