J� � MEETING March 29, 1937 e� � Regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on P�Ionday, � March 29, I937, at 9:00 �. M. A11 members �rere present. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Requisitions in the Fire Departr.ient numbers 03675 to 03677 and in the Police Department numbers 495 to 502 tivere approved. V�yman & Co. 2.Op FIRE DEPARTMIIVT - Chief Freeh present: The Chief recommended that Albert Kraszewski, who was in�ured in an automobile accident on Niarch 19th, his day off, be taken from the payroll until such time as he returned to the department. It was regularly moved, seconded and ca_rried that this recomrnendation be concurred in. POI,ICE DEPARTMEI�TT - Chief Lane present: Four applications for special police cominissions were received from the Bendix Products Corporation. Before passing on these the Chie�' was requested to get in touch with the Sendix people to see if the need v:Tas sufficien.tly urgent to approve these commissions. The matter of supplying a nev. car for the Police Departr�ent or Fire Department was discussed with the two Chiefs and it was decided to purchase a new car �'or the Fire Chief and to turn over to the Health Department the Assistant Fire Chief's present Rockne. Chief Lane brought up the matter of sending Assistant Chief . Diedrich and Officer Karl Smith to Washington for a few days. to the training school now in process and which will close on Saturday. It was regularly moved, seconded and carried that fifty dollars be , appropriated for the e�-pense of' this trip. The auestion of officer's uniforms was brought up and it was decided to invite representatives of various uniform houses to a meeting v�ith the officers on Thursday, April lst, at which time the officers v�Tould determine the house from tivhom they would buy. .
