<br />STREET OR ALLEY IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 1031.
<br />Be It Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South
<br />Bend, St. Joseph County, State of Indiana, that it is desired and deemed necessary to
<br />improve Golden Avenue from Portage Avenue to Riverside Drive.as follows, to -wit: -
<br />Said street shall be graded and the roadway thereof shall be paved,
<br />and also the roadway of certain portions of the streets and alleys which enter or intersect
<br />said street shall be graded and paved. The paving material to be used in making said
<br />improvement shall be Sheet Asphalt, Bitulithic, Asphaltic concrete, Brick or Portland cemen
<br />Concrete pavement seven (7) inches thick, and the foundation shall be portland ement
<br />concrete six (6) inches thick for the Sheet asphalt, bitulithic, asphaltic concrete, and
<br />brick or rolled gravel six (6) inches thick forthe Brick, also cement curb shall be con-
<br />strjoted along the said street where same is necessary and not already constructed, manhole
<br />storm water inlets, and conduits shall be Instructed where necessary, all manholes tops
<br />and storm water inlets shall be set to the proper grade, cement marginal curb shall be con-
<br />structed at all street and alley intersections where where necessary, all as is more oarti
<br />cularly shownand all in accordance with the plans, profiles, detail drawings and specifica-
<br />tions on file in the office of the Department df Public Works of the City of South Bend,
<br />Indiana •

<br />Under no circurnstances shall the city of South B^nd be, or be held responsible for any sum or sums due
<br />fro-m said property owner or owre:s for said work, or for the collection of the same,,or for the payment of any
<br />board, beads, certificate or ce_t_�cates, issued to said c=t_actor in pa7=ent `or such work, except for such
<br />lr-o-:cys as shall have actually been received by the City from the assc-•sments for such imnroveme it, or such
<br />iic-cys as said City is by said entitled Act and amendment and supp3a ants thereto required to pay. All
<br />I 3izrgs had, and work done in the making of said i=r o v enment, asses•- -ent of property, collection of as-
<br />cats and issuance of bonds therefor, shall be as Provided for in said above entitled Act, and ,Acts amend:
