<br />County of St. Joseph, State of Indiana, That the construction of a local sewer,
<br />and adopted o my for local use by the property holders whose propperty abuts thereon
<br />amid not intended or adapted 'for receiving sewerage from collateral drains, be and the
<br />same is hereby ordered in and along Bertrand Street,from Olive Street to Johnson
<br />Street as follows, to -wit:"%
<br />Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Olive
<br />Street and Bertrand Street;a thence east along the center line of Bertrand Street to
<br />the center of Huey Street with-4 12 inch vitrified pipe sewer. Also: Beginning; at the
<br />intersection of Bertrand Street and Johnson Street; thence west along the center of
<br />Bertrand Street to a point opposite the west line of Lot 32 Robinson & Houghton's Sub -
<br />.with a 15 inch vitrified pipe sewer; thence still westalong the center line of Bertrand
<br />Street to the center of Huey Street with a 12 inch vi trfieied pipe sewer, together
<br />with the ne cessary manholes, storm water inlets, conduits and house connections to the
<br />curb lin along the line of said improvement, all as is more particularly shown and all
<br />in accordance with,the p!,ans,.profiless detail drawings and specifications on file in the
<br />Office of the Department of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana.

<br />STREET OR ALLEY IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION
<br />No. 1029.
<br />Be It Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South
<br />Bend, St. Joseph County, State of Indiana, that it is desir3d and deemed necessary
<br />to improve Leer Street from Calvert Street to Ewing Avenuejas follows, to -wit: -
<br />Said street shall be graded and the roadway thereof shall be paved,
<br />and also the roadway of certain portions of the streets and alleys which enter or
<br />intersect said street shall be graded and paved. The paving material to be used in
<br />making said improvement shall be Sheet Asphalt, Bitulithic , Asphaltic concrete, Brick
<br />or Port§And Cement pavement seven (7) inches thick-, *fid the foundation shalle be Portland
<br />cement concrete six (6) inches thick for the Sheet ,Asphalt, bitulithic, asphaltic concret
<br />and brick, or rolled gravel six (6) inches thick for the brick, also cement curb shall be
<br />constructed along said street where same is necessary and not already constructed, manhol
<br />storm water inlets and conduits --shall be constructed where necessary, all manholes tops
<br />and storm water inlets --shall be set to the proper grade, cement marginal curb shall be
<br />constructed at all street and alley intersections where necessary, all as is more
<br />particularly shown and all in accordance with the plena, profiles, detail drawings and
<br />specifications on file in the Office of the Department of Public Works of the City of
<br />South Bend, Indiana.
<br />The cost of the improvement hereip� provided, for, gxE�egt street and allay int€;rstactions, shall be paid by
<br />special assessment to be. levied upon, the property specially berei#tted, to the amount that the same may be log.
<br />ally assessed therefor, in accordance• with an Act of the General Assembly of the State of Indians,, entitled

<br />Aszessments of ten dollars and more against each lot, if deferred, are to be paid in ten equal annual in-
<br />staiiments,--with interest at the rate of Six per cent per annum. A bond or bonds will be issued to the con-
