Aleg Langel, Township Trustee, was present and requested that <br /> a police officer be stationed at the ��Iadison School from 8:30 A. M. to <br /> 5:30 P. M. to quiet any disturbance that might arise among the VY.P.A. <br /> workers. After a full discussion with the Chief, it vras decided that <br /> this would not be done until there was more evidence of disturbance. <br /> The owner of the Lyric The�.tre at 2220 V�iestern Avenue requested <br /> that the curb at the entrance of the Theatre be painted yellow to enable <br /> patrons to unload at that point. The natter was referred to Officer <br /> I��iller. <br /> Officer Justus C. Bloom, having been confined to his home on <br /> account of sickness for a period of sixty days, the Board took the <br /> necessary nction by regular motion seconded and carried to place <br /> this Of�'icer on pension. The Officer having been appointed March 5, <br /> 1915 and having served twenty tv�ro years, the Board directed that <br /> application for pension be made ePfective I��arch 19th and that the two <br /> weeks on regular pay be considered as his vacation for 1937. p� <br /> �°�"''c'''^�, �' -�-�.,..�..,.�-f°Z` �''� 'u-f' <br /> A petition signed by seventeen residents on Grace Street,�from <br /> the Oliver factory entrance to Arnold Street. This petition was <br /> referred to Officer rtiiller for investigation and recommendation. <br /> 0�'ficer Miller recommended that parking be eliminated on. the east <br /> side of V'lalnut Street north of Yaash. - Street for a distance of 100 ft. <br /> �lso on the �ti�est side of Vlalnut Street south of VUashington for the <br /> sa�e distance. The Board concurred and ordered instructions be given <br /> to the Chief of Police. <br /> Officer Miller requested the approval of the Board for the <br /> removal of a stop sign on Linden Avenue at Walnut Street, for the <br /> reason that this being a dead end and the sign is not necessary and <br /> a study of the situation warranted its removal. The Boa.rd concurred <br /> and the Chief was instructed to carry out this arra.ngement. <br /> Officer P�Riller made a report of the traffic conditions on Sample <br /> Street betUteen Lafayette and Michigan.
