Minutes of the previous meeting v�ere read and approved. Requisitions in the Police Department numbers 319 to 340, in- clusive, were approzred. Claims in the amount of �1,889.71 , from the following suppliers, were approved and ordered paid. POLICE DEPARZ'�IE'Vi T - Chief Lane present: A comraunication was received from Joseph Szweda, former policeman, asking to be re-instated on the police �'orce. This communica�ion vaas ordered placed on file. Application for special police officer's commission w�s approved in favor of Isaac Kryder ti��hile special police officer at the �1Thite SU�ran Lzundry. Upon regul.ar motion by Mr. .Anderson, seconded by Nir. Vvoodtn�ard and regularly carried, Dfficer`Lbuis �Kish vaas �pror�oted to Patrol Sergeant, e�'fective January l , 1937, subject to assigrunent by the Chief of Police. Upon motion by r�Jlr. V'Toodward, seconded by PJIr. Anderson and regularly carried, Elmer Sokol and ti"�illiam ZaVer T,°�elch were appointed to positions on the Police Force, service to begin January 1, 1937, under six months probation, subject to medical examination and passing by Dr. Pauszek, the Police Doctor and also subject to assignment by tne Chief of Police. Officer Ernest Miller submitted � report of his investi�ation of the request of the PJlotor Service & Parts, Inc. at 317 South Lafayette Boulevard for parking restrictions, which report is on file in the office of' the Board of Public Safety, recor.li�endin� that no change be made in present parking regulations, but that signs be erected to call attention to present two-hour regulation. The m�tter of sending an off'i.cer to Stiashington to attend a school of instructions was again discussed and it tia�as decided to send Captain Harold Whitmer, with the understanding that the cost to the City is not to be more than three hundred dollars for the entire period. The question of purchasing two raotorcycles at once was discussed with the Chief and it was decided to hold this matter up �'or one tiYeek.
