Vvoodtn�ard and <br /> regularly carried, Dfficer`Lbuis �Kish vaas �pror�oted to Patrol Sergeant, <br /> e�'fective January l , 1937, subject to assigrunent by the Chief of Police. <br /> Upon motion by r�Jlr. V'Toodward, seconded by PJIr. Anderson and regularly <br /> carried, Elmer Sokol and ti"�illiam ZaVer T,°�elch were appointed to positions <br /> on the Police Force, service to begin January 1, 1937, under six months <br /> probation, subject to medical examination and passing by Dr. Pauszek, <br /> the Police Doctor and also subject to assignment by tne Chief of Police. <br /> Officer Ernest Miller submitted � report of his investi�ation of <br /> the request of the PJlotor Service & Parts, Inc. at 317 South Lafayette <br /> Boulevard for parking restrictions, which report is on file in the <br /> office of' the Board of Public Safety, recor.li�endin� that no change be <br /> made in present parking regulations, but that signs be erected to call <br /> attention to present two-hour regulation. <br /> The m�tter of sending an off'i.cer to Stiashington to attend a school <br /> of instructions was again discussed and it tia�as decided to send Captain <br /> Harold Whitmer, with the understanding that the cost to the City is <br /> not to be more than three hundred dollars for the entire period. <br /> The question of purchasing two raotorcycles at once was discussed <br /> with the Chief and it was decided to hold this matter up �'or one tiYeek. <br />
