Burns present: <br /> Mr. Burns presented his reports o�' the vrork done during the last <br /> month, which reports are on file ir_ the o1'fice of the Board of Public <br /> Sa.fety. <br /> POLICE __L`EP��Tl�2II�TT - Chief' Lane present: <br /> AJlatters pertaining to the operation of the Police Departrnent were <br /> discussed tivith the Chief ��nd it v�as re�ularly moved, seconded and <br /> carriecl that the purchase of neva radios for �;he net�� cars be authorzzea <br /> and that installation be r�ade as soon as possible. It was decided to <br /> buy Philco radios because of the �'act that this Company have a regular <br /> service department in Soutti Bend. <br /> The matter of sending an officer to Washingtor_, D. C. in the <br /> coming year to attend a school of instructions was discussed and the <br /> Chie�' Vaas i.nstructed to bring zn a report next TJlonday as to the cost <br /> to the City. <br /> Special police commission was zpproved in favor of Robert 1��laxey <br /> while employed by the Park Departznent. <br /> Communication was received� �'rom lJlotor Service �C Parts requesting <br /> that some arrangement be made for restric-ting parking in front of' their <br /> place of business. This matter was re�erred to the En�ineering DePart- <br /> r�ent of the Accident Prevention Bure�.�u f'or investigation and recom- <br /> mendation. <br />
