M. �].l members v�ere present. <br /> Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. <br /> Requisitions in the Fire Department numbers 03559 and 03560 <br /> and in the Police Department numbers 246 to 256, inclusive, were <br /> approved. Claims in the amount of �534.78, from the followin� <br /> suppliers, and payrol.l of the various departments amounting to <br /> p17,028.89 , v�ere approved and ordered paid. <br /> Krauss' s Jewelry Store �1.25� Van Zengerke & gntoine �3.I1 <br /> City flater �orks .60 Indiana State Prison 37.29 <br /> �ity Water �orks .30 Denny Motor Transfer Co. .75 <br /> �ity Water �'orks .45 South Bend Glass �orKs 13.30 <br /> City Water Works 473.23 Elkhart Brass Nlfg. Co. 4.50 <br /> F2RE DEPARTN�NT - Chief Freeh present: <br /> Matters pertaining to the operation of the Fire Department <br /> were diseussed with the Chief, and he was authorized to purchase <br /> t�o tires for one of the Fire Trucks, there being sufficient in the <br /> present budget to take cars of the expense. <br /> ELECTRIeAL DEPARTDhENT - Mr. Qualls present: <br /> Matters perta�ning to the operation of the Eleetrical Depart- <br /> ment �vere discussed with Mr. Qualls. <br /> Y�TEIGHTS AND MEA�URF,� DEPARTMENT - Mr. Burns present: <br /> Mr. Burns submitted his report of inspeotions made Por the weels <br /> ending November 21st, showing 310 inspections. This report is on <br /> file in the offiee of the Board of Public Sa�ety. <br /> POLICE DEPARTI�NT - Chief Lane present: <br /> TJir. Dudley Shively requested that fifteen minute parkin� <br /> restrictions be established in Yront of stores at numbers 219, 221 <br /> and 223 South Main Street, permitting the occupants of these stores <br /> to use thia parking �spaee: The matter was referred to the Chief of <br /> Police for investigation and reeommendation. <br /> Continuation certiPicate in favor of special police officer <br /> Sohn Leader was approved by the Board. <br /> Surety bond in the United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company <br /> in favor of Sergeant Claude E.
