Wirick. <br /> ELECTRIC?�L DEPARTII�NT - Mr. �,ualls present: <br /> Matters pertaining to the operation of the Electrical Department <br /> were discussed with �r. Q,ualls. <br /> A communication was received from the City of Davenport , Iowa <br /> announcing the Third National Convention of Associated Police <br /> Communication Officers and requesting that a representative be present. <br /> This matter was disaussed with Mr. Qualls, and it vras decided to send <br /> Franais Bock of the Radio Department to this Convention, the City to <br /> pay the necessary expenses. <br /> Mr. 9ualls reported the oost of installation of traffic signal <br /> at Western Avenue and Main Street, which was torn dovm in an accident <br /> on September 2nd. The Clerk was instructed to notify the offender and <br /> collect the aost. <br /> �JEIGHTS & BI�ASURES DEP�RTMENT - P:'Ir• Burns present: <br /> 1�Sr. Burns reported the activities of his department for the <br /> preceding s�eek, sho�ing 296 inspections made , which report is on Pile <br /> in the office of the Board of Public Safety. <br /> POLICE DEPARTI�NT - Assistant Chief Diedrich present; <br /> The Marsh Realty Company of 514 ��est Colfax Avenue complained <br /> about oars being parked in front of their place of business and <br /> requestwaStTe�erredrtotthe PolicekDepartmentefor investigationThe <br /> matter <br /> Speoial police commission in favor of SFJilliam J. Bickel for the <br /> Bendig Produats Corporation was approved by the Board. <br /> Renewal certificate of special police officer's bond in favor of <br /> William H. Spaulding �as approved. <br /> Continuation certificate of �illiam H. Duley, coverin� special <br /> police offiaer' s bond, was received and placed on file. <br /> The meeting ad�ourned at 10:30 A.
