27 <br /> MEETING June 29 , 1936 <br /> Regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on <br /> Tidonday, Tune 29 , 1.936, at 9:15 A. I'�i. All members were present. <br /> I�iinutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. <br /> Requisitions in the Police Department numbers 20 to 31, <br /> inclusive, and in the Fire Department numbers 03424 to 03433 vrere <br /> approved. Claims, from the following suppliers against various <br /> departments, in the amount of �100.59 , also payroll for street <br /> painting amounting to �174.24, were approved and ordered paid. <br /> Berman' s Sport Goods Store �5.85 Duley Printing Co. ;�40.00 <br /> G. 0. Co. 9.32 Shatford' s Leather Store � 6.00 <br /> ' Moore Parts, Inc. 7•82 <br /> FIRE DEPARTMEAIT - Chief Freeh present: <br /> The Chief reported that Raymond ��IcCallum, vJho was placed on the <br /> Fire Department probation January 1, 1936, had been recommended by <br /> his Captain as fully qualified as a city fireman. It ��as regularly <br /> mo�ed, seconded and carried that Raymond McCallum be placed on <br /> regular fire department on full pay from July l, 1936. <br /> A eommunication from �.lfred E. rdartin, Attorney, was read in <br /> connection with fire Pighting apparatus for use in tovmship outside <br /> of city limits, suggesting that a meeting of the Trustees of the <br /> various tovmships be called to discuss the matter. The communication <br /> was referred to the City Attorney for consideration and attention. <br /> The Chief submitted his budget for the year 1937 for consider- <br /> ation of the Board. <br /> ELECTRICAL DEPARTNII�IT - IV'ir. �,ualls present: <br /> E�r. Qualls reported activities of his department for the past <br /> week and informed the Boarci that he had removed the overhead traffic <br /> signal at Angella and Leeper Avenue. <br /> h1r. Qualls submitted his budget for 1937 for consideration of <br /> the Board. <br /> �7EIGHTS & MEASURES DEPARTP�NT - T'Ir. Burns present: <br /> 2yir. Burns submitted detailed repor� of the activities of his <br /> department for the past week, sho�ing total number of inspections <br /> � amounting to 396. <br /> bir. Burns submitted his budget f or 1937 for consideration of <br /> the Board. • <br /> POLICE DEPART�NT - Chief Lane present: <br /> The Chief submitted his budget for the year 1937 for consider- <br /> ation of the Board. <br /> A petition signed by nineteen residents in the 700 block on <br /> East j�enger Street, requesting that parking of automobiles on both <br /> sides of this thoroughfare be discontinued, was referred to the <br /> police department for investigation and report. <br /> The Chief submitted report of the Bureau of �ccident Prevention <br /> for the first fifteen days of June.
