The meeting was called for the purpose of discussing various types of ,jobs for off- duty fire:�en �;rith a corL.��ittee of fire�en representin� the• Fire Depart�ent. The Board adopted te�porAry modification of rul�s and re;ulations ti�rhich Permit the members cf the Fire Department to be employed on �heir off da�s for a period of not �ore t��an four ( 4) hours to be ��ror�_ed prior to 7 P.�.7. oi such day, and in er;iplo� �� ent. approved by the Board after h�ving been certified to be considered as critic�l by the linited States E�plo��lsnt Service. . Each Fireman acce�tin� such e�ploym�ent is required to report the naL~:e oi his eriploy er and t?ze hours to be z^rorl�ed. The Chief informed the Board that he had sent out three latters to dealers asking for bids on a Photostat P�Tachine, and only one bid having been received, the Board approved the purchase of a Photostat Junior. T��achine from the Pnotostat Service oi Rochester, Nevr Yorf�, at the p��ice of �320.J0. FIRE DEPl�RTir2ENT: Chief DeVleeschov�er ��ras present and matters pertaining to his aepar•tment were discussed. The Chief notified the BoGrd that he had purchased an air co�pressor for the use of the Fire Depart�nent fro� the Ohio Oil Company. ',"JF'IGHTS & ��ASITRES: r,ir. Charles Burns, City Sealer, presented his repor� for the �veek ending November 20, 1943. P.ir. Burns presented carbon conies of letters he had �vritten to the T�Rayor relative to repairs to the Cit;� scales and also to the car used b;� the Depart?:1ent of ,'o'ei�hts and :.ieasures.
