21 <br />Tuesday March 21st., 1922. Continued. <br />Mr. James luther appeared before the Board and presented petition signed <br />by a number of property owners to have alley between St. Peter Street and Notre Dame <br />Avenue running from Sarin Street to South Bend Avenue opened and house in said alley should <br />be condemned and moved. Same read and placed on file to be investigated. <br />E. A. Coates and J. G. Schaub of the Williston Construction Company <br />a peared before the Board and presented the following written request for permission to <br />place asphalt plant, same xas approved. <br />March 16,1922. <br />Board of Public Works, <br />South Bend, Indiana. <br />Gentlemen: - <br />We are about to complete arrangements -for locating our Asphalt Plant on the <br />pro er y of the.South'Bend Chilled Plow Company at a point in their yard about 200 ft. <br />easi of Gran, Street and about 150 ft. south or Washington Street. <br />Since a6 City Ordinance provides that, before locating an Asphalt Plant, at any <br />pplace ihn the Cityy Limits it is necessary to obtain the approval of the Board of Public <br />V�orks, we, therei'ores respectfully request $bur approval of this site for the location <br />of our asphalt Plant. <br />Yours very truly, <br />JGS. SLAUGHTER Secy. <br />President. <br />Mr. Edward Pjeiffer appeared before the Board in regard to petition filed in <br />1921 for cluster lights in South St. Joseph Street:from Jefferson Street to Wayne Street <br />and reauested that said petition be'granted on said street for business reasons. Board <br />referred said petition to,T.,H.
