In regard to deferred hearing on Condemnation Resolution No. 39 for the Widening of Webster Street from Prairie Avenue to Indiana. Avenue, and widening of Indiana Avenue from Webster Street to Prairie Avenue, In the City of South Bend, Indians. In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no further remonstrane was filed, all remonstranceswere over ruled and thereupon, being fully advised in +the matter the Board modified sbAd resolution as follows. Widening of WEbster St. Also; Beginning at the southwesterly corner of lot 3.1m. Noland's Addition to South Bend: thence south parallel to tite east line of Jno. A. Swygart's Replat of George W. Swygart's 3rd. Addition to the south line of Dubail Avenue produced east; thence Est two feet; thence south parallel with the east line of Jno. A. Swygart's Replat of Geo. W. SjWgart's 3rd. Addition to the northerly line of Prairie Avenue -thence stithwesterly along the northerly line of Prairie Avenue to the east line of the alley on the east side oP Jno. A . Swygart's Replat of Geo. W. ftygart's 3rd. Addition to South Bend; thence north to a point eleven (11) feet west of beginning; thence east to the place of beginning. The Board takes final action on said resolution as above modified confirming the same. The Board therefore declares the above property in all things con- demned and appropriated for public use, the Board now orders that a list or roll be prepared of all the owners or holders of property and of valuable interests therein sought to be taken or to be injuriously affected# which said list or roll shall also describe the property beneficially affected. RESOLUTION NO. 411. REPORT OF THE BOAR- 0!�� PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH B-TD,INDIANA. Seger, water and gas connections on Leeper Avenue from Howard Street to Angella Avenue. To the Honorable Council, Get?tlemen:- The Board of Public Works herewith presents its report for the following sewer,gas and water connectionn. BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS. E. M. M0RRTS PRESIDENT. RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD O H= PUBLIC WORKS. On motion duly made and seconded , the following preamble and resolu- tions were unanimously adopted: WHEREAS,This Board did on the 24th. day of August,1915 deem, it expedient and of public utility to permanently improve Leeper Avenue between Howard Street end Angella Avenue by,paving the roadway of the same, and did on said date pass and adapt a resolution authorizing said permanent improvement, and WHEREASmThe City Engineer has prepared and filed with this Board a report showing the nun --r and location, as well as the material to be used: and the manner of laying the same, of the service wipes, mains, conduits, laterals and connections which are, or will be, necessary to accommodate the abutting property owners with gas,wa,ter, heat,stean or any other product for which any person,firm or corporation has been granted a franchise Bor supplying the citizens of the City of South Bend,Indiana, which report is as follows: BE IT RESOLVED, That said report -of said City Engineer be and is hereby adopted. And be it further Resolved, That it is contemplated by this Board to improve Leeper Avenue from Howard Street to kip ella Avenue by construction of pavement, and that it is, and is hereby so declared necessary for the Northern Indiana Gas & Electric Company, which has, and operates under a franchise from said city to supply gas to the citizens of said City, to provide and install mains, 1 aterals, service pipes and connections for gas in said part of said street,of the description, location and number set forth in said report of said City Engineer,whfi vhich mains,service pipes and connections are hereby declared necessary for the immediate use of said Company in supplying g s to the owners of property abutt4.ng upon said part of said street.
