Tuesday August 3rd.1915• Board met in regular session at 7:45 P.M. All members present. The Board ordered a resolution prepared on the petition for the Opening of Carroll Street south through to Tutt Street. The Board instructed the Clerk to notify City Attorney Seebirt to draw up ✓ Ordinance for the placing of an Are light on College Street at intersection of C.I.& S. R:y. Company between Werwinski and Repel Streets. The Board o„dered that an 90 C.P. Lamp be placed at the corner of Longley Avenue and College Street. CONDEMNATION RESOLUTION NO. 39.1915• Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiay}a: That the following described property be appropriated for the use of said City. For widening Webster Street as follows to-wit::- 16 feet off the east side of lot 1 in Daniel Gise's Addition. Described as follows,Beginning at the north east corner of lot 1 in Daniel Gise's Addition to South Bend; thence south on the east line of said lot 1-150 feet to the south east corner of said lot 1, thence west 16 feet; thence north parallel to and 16 feet distant from the east line of said lot 1 to the south line of Indiana Avenue; thence east 16 feet to the place of beginning. ALSO: Beginning at the south west corner of lot 3 in William Noland's Addition to South Bend; thence west 11 feet to the east line of John A. Swygart's Replat of Geo. W. Spygart's 3rd. Addition; thence south on the east.line of said Swygart's Replat to the northerly line of Prairie Avenue; thence north easterly on the northerly line of Prairie Avenue to a point 11 feet distant at right angles from the east line of said Swygart's Replat; thence north parallel to and 11 feet distant from the east line of said Swygart's Replat to the place of beginning. ALSO for Widening Indiana Avenue as follows,to-wit:- Beginning at the intersection of k the westerly line of Prairie Avenue and the north line of Indiana Avenue as platted in Bazil Rupel's Addition to South Bend:. -thence west on the north line of Indiana Avenue to a point 11 feet west acid 25 feet north 6�the north west corner of lot X0. l.in. Bazil Rupel's Addition; thence north 13.4 feet; thence east paralell to and 13.4 feet distant from the north line of Indiana Avenue to the westerly line of Prairie Avenue h, nee southwesterly on the westerly line of Prairie Avenue to the place of beginning. The following described poperty may be injuriously or beneficially affected by such appropriation:: Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Walnut Street and the south line of the N.W. 1/4 of Section 14 Tp. 37 N.R. 2 E. thence east on said 1/4 section line to the westerly line of Prairie Avenue; thence southwesterly on the westerly line of Prairie Avenue to the south line of lot A in Bazil Rupel's Addition to South Bend; thence west 179.02 feet; thence south 51 feet; thence west 65 feet; thence south to the south east corner of lot 9 in William A. Noland's Addition; thence west on the south line of said lot 9 to the south west corner of said lot 9 thence south 66 feet; thence west 236.05 feet; thence south to the northerly line of Prairie Avenue; thence southwesterly on the northerly line of Prairie Avenue to the west line of lot 1 in JohnA. Swygart's Replat of Geo. W. Swygart's Third Addition; thence north on the west line of said lot 1 to the center of the First alley north of Prairie Avenue; thence west along the center of said alley to the center of the alley lying west of lots 3 and 57 in said John A. Swygart's Replat; thence north along the center of said alley west of lots 3 and 57 in said Replat to the south line of lot 46 in said Swygart's Replat; thence west on the south line of said lot 46 to the center of Swygart Avenue; thence north along the center of Swygart Avenue to the center of the First alley south of Indiana Avenue; thence west on the center line of the first alley south of Indiana Avenue to the center of Walnut Street; thence north on the center line of Walnut Street to the place of beginning. The purpose of such appropriation is for the WIDENING OF WEBSTER ST. FROM INDIANA AVE. TO PRAIRIE AVE. AND THE WIDENING OF INDIANA AVE. FROM PRAIRIE AVE. TO WMTER STREET.
