724 Board. met in regular session at 1.0:00 A.M. All members present. Petitions Piled by Councilaen for, lights to be ,placed on the following, street the same were read and placed on file until the Board makes trip to look over streets where lights are requested. Jaquith Court, Are light.- Grace Street in 3,200 Blk end of Street. Cottage Grove & Oak light ,petition filed by Councilman Buechner Gra`ee Street in 1200 Blk end of Street, by Councilman Smegor Prairie Avenue between Scott Street and R.R. Are light, Councilman Hagerty. Indiana Avenue west of Prairie Avenue Incandescent light. Councilman Goebel. Permission granted the Central Union Telephone Company to set two poles on the b,orth side of alley between Cedar and Miner Streets and Notre Dame Avenue and St. Peter Streets to be -.used jointly with Indiana & Michigan Elec. Co. Bond and contract forPipe sewer on LeeteBoard. venue from Angella Avenue to Howard Street signed by Hoban & Roe.ch was approved by Bond and contract for Macadam pavement on Tonti Avenue from Lafayette Street Tecumseh Avenue, signed by Hoban and Roach and approved by the. Board. Bond and contract for Pipe sewer on St. Peter and Sorin Streets from South Bend Avenue &ad St. Louis Street to Eddy Street signed by Henry De Vos and approved., by the Board. Bond and contract for Sheet Asphalt pavement on Allen Street . from Oak Street .,-to Van Buren Street, signed by the Western Construction Company and approved by the Board. Bond and contract for pipe sewer on Jaquith Court from -Prairie Avenue to a point 115 ft. East of Chapin Street, signedby Staples & Ackerman and approved by the Board. Concerning the improvement of the roadway of Franklin Street from Sample Street to Indiana Avenue in pursuance to resolution No. 3B8 petitions having been filed within ten days from the time bids were reeeiveds-by persons claiming to be a majority in number of the freeholders residing on said street"to be improved, and the Board hereby refers said petitions to the City Engineer for his report - as to whether said petitioners constitute a ma jokity in number of the freeholders residing on said street; and this matter is hereby continued until the 7:45 P.M.this 27th. day of July*1915, then the Board will determine the sufficiency of said petition, and will let the contract, or will reject all bids. LOCAL SEVER IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 402. Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, County of St. Joseph, State of Indiana, That the construction of a local sewer, intended and adapted only for local use by the property holders vdiose property abuts thereon, and not intended or adapted for receiving sewerage from collateral drains, be and the same Is, hereby ordered in and along Golden Avenue from Woodward Avenue to Portage Avenue as followstto-w1t:- Beginning at a point on the northerly garb line of Golden Avenue and the center line of Woodward Avenue; thence southwesterly to the center of Golden Avenue with a 10 inch vitrified pipe sewer; thence westerly along the center line of Golden Avenue to a point about 100 feet northeasterly from the easterly line of Portage Avenue with a 10 inch vitrified pipe sewer. Together with the necessary manholes, Inlets, Conduits and House Connections to the curb line along the line of said improvement. All as shown on the plans, and in accordance with theprofiles, detail drawings and specifications on file in the office of the Department of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indianan and said sewer, with all its appurtenances shall be constructed in accordance with the profile and specifications now on file in the office of the Department of Public Works of said City.
