East of Chapin Street, signedby Staples & Ackerman and approved by <br />the Board. <br />Concerning the improvement of the roadway of Franklin Street from Sample <br />Street to Indiana Avenue in pursuance to resolution No. 3B8 petitions having been <br />filed within ten days from the time bids were reeeiveds-by persons claiming to be a <br />majority in number of the freeholders residing on said street"to be improved, and the <br />Board hereby refers said petitions to the City Engineer for his report - as to whether <br />said petitioners constitute a ma jokity in number of the freeholders residing on said <br />street; and this matter is hereby continued until the 7:45 P.M.this 27th. day of <br />July*1915, then the Board will determine the sufficiency of said petition, and will <br />let the contract, or will reject all bids. <br />LOCAL SEVER IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 402. <br />Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, County of <br />St. Joseph, State of Indiana, That the construction of a local sewer, intended and <br />adapted only for local use by the property holders vdiose property abuts thereon, and <br />not intended or adapted for receiving sewerage from collateral drains, be and the same <br />Is, hereby ordered in and along Golden Avenue from Woodward Avenue to Portage Avenue <br />as followstto-w1t:- <br />Beginning at a point on the northerly garb line of Golden Avenue <br />and the center line of Woodward Avenue; thence southwesterly to the center of Golden <br />Avenue with a 10 inch vitrified pipe sewer; thence westerly along the center line of <br />Golden Avenue to a point about 100 feet northeasterly from the easterly line of <br />Portage Avenue with a 10 inch vitrified pipe sewer. Together with the necessary <br />manholes, Inlets, Conduits and House Connections to the curb line along the line of <br />said improvement. All as shown on the plans, and in accordance with theprofiles, <br />detail drawings and specifications on file in the office of the Department of Public <br />Works of the City of South Bend, Indianan and said sewer, with all its appurtenances <br />shall be constructed in accordance with the profile and specifications now on file in <br />the office of the Department of Public Works of said City. <br />
