7we } <br />Tuesday June 29th.,1915. Continued. <br />Hearing had on Improvement Resolution No. 393 for pipe sewer on Corby <br />Street from Niles to East line of St. Louis Blvd. In the, City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />Upon said hearing remonstrators appeared and remonstrated against said <br />sewer being constructed this year, but no written remonstrance,were filed. And the Board <br />being fully advised in the premises, decides that the benefits to property liable to be <br />assessed for said improvements are equal to the estimated cost of the same,�as reported by <br />the Gity Civil Engineer, and thereupon takes final action on said resolution as originally <br />adopted, and the same is hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. <br />Resolved further, that notices bepublished on the llth. day of January <br />1916 and on the 18tn . day of January 1916 in a newspaper of general circulation in said City, <br />stating that this Board will receive bids for the construction of said improvements up <br />to 10:00 A.I. on the lst. day of February,1915. The Board reserves thr' gith to reject <br />any and all bids.( The Board confimed said resolution with understanding that this improve - <br />would be put in in spring of 1916.). <br />Permission was granted to the Overland Autombole Company to use sidewalk <br />from their place of business on North, Michigan Street to La Salle Avenue until such time <br />that they will be able to use their driveway to Michigan Street. Care to be used not <br />to injure said sidewalk. <br />Clerk instructed to write to C. A. Hagerty and send C. H. De Frees bill <br />for locating sewer taps at South William Street in front of property owned by him. <br />The City Civil Engineer filed* the following. <br />to the Hon.. Board of Pu blic Works, <br />South Bend, Indiana. <br />Gentlemen: - <br />I herewith submit estimated cost of Jaquith Court pipe sewer from Prairie <br />Avenue to a point 115 feet east of Chapin Street at..................$550.00 <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />FREDERICK J. ANDERSON, <br />City Engineer. <br />ORDER SELECTING KIND OF PAVEMENT. <br />Concerning the Imp m vement of the roadway of Allen'Street from Oak <br />Street to Van Buren Street, in pursuance of Improvement Resolution No. 379 1915 the pre- <br />liminary order for the improvement heretofore adopted is hereby confirmed. <br />The Board now orders that so much of the said street is improved with <br />Veedersburg Brick on a gravel foundation and awards the contract to Harry N. Barnes he being <br />the lowest add'best bidder. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC <br />WORKS. <br />Ten day up at 10 A.M. July 12th.91915. <br />Contracts for the water connections on Fulton, Hamden Court, Tecumseh <br />Avenue and Vassar Avenue were awarded to Fred P. Futter. <br />In the matter of the hearing on Vacation of Oft. off alley at rear of <br />Lot 35 in Original Plat of South Bend, the Board decided to defer all action until <br />Tuesday July 13th.,1915 at 7:45 P.M. <br />
