700 <br />Tuesday June _ 1d.1915. <br />Board met in regular session at 7:45 P.Y. All members present. <br />Hearing given on Vacation Resolution No. 241°for the purpose of vacating <br />for a portion of Leerts Court, under Vacation Resolution No. 24:ZIn the City of <br />South Bend, Indiana. <br />In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were <br />filed. The Board therefore sustain all former action taken and declare the above des- <br />cribed property, in all things vacated and this resolution in all things ratified, <br />confirmed and approved. <br />Resolved further that the City Engineer be instructed to prepare a rikll <br />showing awards of damages and assessments of benefits to all parties and properties <br />interested in the above matter. A <br />Hearing had on improvement Resolution No. 357, for pavement on Lincoln <br />Way west from east line of Olive Street to west City limits. In the City of South <br />Bend, Indiana. <br />In the above matter Attorney L. Hanmerschmidt represent ing' property' <br />owners and Mr. Joseh E. Kaley and others appeared and remonstrated against said im- <br />provement, but no written remonstrance was filed. The Board after dueconsiderat ion <br />decided to defer all action on said improvement resolution until Tuesday June 29th.1, <br />1915 at 7:45 P.M. (The Board informed the property owners that they would make a trip <br />over said street and investigate said improvement.) <br />Hearing had on Improvement Resolution No. 359. for Paving *ith gravel, <br />sidewalk and curb on Hill Street from Corby Street to Howard Street, In the City of <br />South Bend, Indiana. <br />Upon said hearing no remonstrators appea ed and no written remonstrance <br />was filed. The Property owners requested the Board to widen the roadway froin'30feet <br />to42-1/2 feet on Hill Street from Corby Street to Howard Street, and the same was <br />unanimously adopted by the Board. And the Board being fully advised in the premises <br />decides that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said improvements are <br />equal to the estimated cost of the same, as reported by the City Civil. Engineer, and <br />thereupon takes final action on said resolution as modified, and the same is hereby in <br />all things ratified, confirmed and approved. <br />Resolved further, that notices be published on the 24th. day of June, <br />1915 and on the lst. day of July21915 in a newspaper of general circulation in said <br />City , stating that this Board will receive bids for the construction of said improve- <br />ments up to 10:00 A,M. on the 13th. day of July,1915 The Board reserves the right to <br />re je ct any and all bids. <br />Hearing had on Improvement Resolution No. 3W. for pavement on <br />Franklin Street from Sample Street to Indiana Avenue. In the City of South Bend, Ind. - <br />Upon said hearing remonstrators appeared but no written remonstrance <br />was filed. And the Board being fully advised in the premises, decides that the bene- <br />fits to property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the esti- <br />mated cost of the same, as reported by the City Mivil Engineer, and thereupon takes <br />final action on said resolution as originally adopted, and the same is hereby in all <br />things ratified, confirmed and approved. <br />Resolved further, that notices be published on the 24th. day of June <br />1915 and on the 1st* day of July,1915 in a newspaper of general circulation in said <br />City, stating that this Board will receive bids for the construction of said improve- <br />ments up to 10:00 A.M. on the 13th. day of July91915 The Board reserves the right <br />to reject any and all bids. <br />R1 Hearing had on improvement Resolution No. 390 for pipe sewer on St. <br />Peter and Sorin Street from Eddy Street to St. Louis Blvd.. In the City of South -Bend, <br />Indiana. <br />Upon said hearing remonstrators appeared and w written remonstrance <br />was filed. The Board after due consideration decided to defer hearing until Tuesday <br />June 29th.,1915 at 7:45 P.M. <br />
