RESOLUTION NO. 1053 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT <br />COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF <br />A LEASE FOR CERTAIN LAND AND <br />PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND AND REGARDING OTHER RELATED MATTERS <br />WHEREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Authority (the <br />"Authority ") has been created pursuant to IC 36 -7 -14.5 as a <br />separate body, corporate and politic, and as an instrumentality of <br />the City of South Bend to finance local public improvements for <br />lease to the South Bend Redevelopment Commission (the <br />"Commission "); and <br />WHEREAS, the Authority on March 26, 1992, adopted a <br />resolution indicating its intent to issue its South Bend <br />Redevelopment Authority lease rental revenue bonds for the purpose <br />of obtaining money for the cost of acquisition of certain land and <br />a building located thereon, commonly known as the Palais Royale, <br />and related expenses (the "Project ") pursuant to IC 36 -7- 14.5 -19 <br />and approving a proposed lease between the Authority and the <br />Commission for the Project and filed a copy of the proposed lease <br />with the Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, on March 27, 1992, the Commission approved the <br />proposed lease, scheduled a public hearing on the lease to be held <br />on April 24, 1992, at 10:00 a.m. (local time), at the office of the <br />Commission, and authorized the publication of a notice of public <br />CW hearing on the lease pursuant to IC 5 -3 -1; and <br />WHEREAS, the Commission was unable to hold a meeting on <br />April 24, 1992, and therefore did not hold a public hearing on the <br />lease on said date; and <br />
