Magliozzi <br />Executive Director Assistant Director <br />Phone 574 235-957f www.stjosephcountyindiana.com/areaplan Fax 574 235-9813 <br />November 20, 2007 <br />The Honorable Council of the City of <br />South Bend <br />4th Floor, County-City Building <br />South Bend, IN 46601 <br />RE: A proposed ordinance and site development plan of River of Life Family Church, Inc. to <br />zone from SF2 Single Family and Two Family District to O Office District, property <br />located at 623 South St. Joseph Street, City of South Bend - APC# 2456-07 <br />Dear Council Members: <br />I hereby Certify that the above referenced ordinance of River of Life Family Church, Inc. was <br />legally advertised on Thursday, November 8, 2007 and that the Area Plan Commission at its <br />public hearing on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 took the following action: <br />Upon a motion by Gary Gilot, being seconded by Phil Sutton and unanimously <br />carried, the proposed ordinance and site development plan of River of Life Family <br />Church, Inc. to zone from SF2 Single Family and Two Family District to O Office <br />District, property located at 623 South St. Joseph Street, City of South Bend is sent <br />to the Common Council with a favorable recommendation. The proposed use is <br />compatible with the surrounding land uses. The office zoning and its associated use <br />would help buffer the residential area to the east from the mixed use area to the west. <br />The required landscaping and residential bufferyard should provide an acceptable <br />buffer between the proposed development and the adjacent residential area. <br />The deliberations of the Area Plan Commission and points considered in arriving at the above <br />decision are shown in the minutes of the public hearing, and will be forwarded to you at a later <br />date to be made a part of this report. <br />Sincerely, <br />~, <br />n W.
