<br />LOCAL SEWER IMPROVEuIENT RESOLUTION NO. 393-
<br />,� Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend,'St.
<br />Joseph County, State of Indiana, That the construction of a local sewer, intended and
<br />adapted only for local use by the the property holders whose property abuts thereon, and
<br />not intended or adapted for receiving sewerage from collateral drains,be and the same is
<br />hereby ordered in and along Corby Street from Niles Avenue to the east line of St. Louis
<br />Boulevard (sout) as follows to -wit:-
<br />Beginning at the center line of Niles Avenue . and Corby
<br />Street] ; thence east along the center line of Corby Street to a point 25 feet west of the
<br />west line of Hill Street with a 12 inch vitrified pipe sewer. Also beginning at the center of
<br />line of Hill Street and Corby'Street; thence east along the center line of said Corby Street
<br />to the east line of St. Louis Boulevard with a 12 inch vitrified pipe sewer. Together with
<br />the necessary manholes, inlets, conduits and house connections to the curb line along the
<br />line of said improvement . All as shown on the plans, and in accordance with the profiles
<br />detail drawings and specifications on file in the office of the Department of Public Works
<br />of the City of South Bead, Indiana.
<br />a And such improvement is now ordered and said sewer, with all its appur—
<br />tenances shall be constructed in accordance with the profile and specifications now on file
<br />in the office of the Department f Public Works of said City. The cost of said improvement
<br />shall be apportioned against and paid by the property holders whose property abuts thereon,
<br />and upon the City of South Bend, if theyCity is benefited by said improvement, all according
<br />to the method and manner provided for in Act of the General Assembly of:the State of
<br />Indiana, entitled "An Act Concerning Municipal Corperations," approved Larch 6,1905.
<br />Assessments, if deferred, are to be paid in ten equal1annual installments, with interest
<br />at the rate of Six per cent per annum. A bond br bonds shall be issued to the contractor
<br />in payment for such works, unless the property owners pay said assessments before said
<br />bond or bonds are issued. Under no circumstances shall the City of South Bend be or be
<br />held responsible for arv, sure or sums due from said property owner or owners for said work
<br />e rf,for the collection- of same,. of for the !payment of any bond or bonds, certificate or certi—
<br />ficates, issued to said contractor in payemtnf ro such work, except for such moneys as shall
<br />ijeve been actually received by the City from the assessments fornsuch improvement, or such
<br />moneys as said -:City is by said above entitled Act required to pay. All proceedings had,'
<br />and work done, in the making of said improvement, assessment of property, collections of
<br />assessments and issuance of bonds therefor, shell be as provided for in said above entitled
<br />Act.'
<br />Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 4th. day of
<br />June,l%5. and on the llth. day of June,1915 in the Softh. Bend Daily Tribune. This Board
<br />willgive a hearing on this resolution at its office in the City Hall on the 29th. day of
<br />June 1915 at 7: 45 P.M.

<br />intended or adapted for receiving sewerage from collateral drains, be and the same is
<br />hereby ordered in and along Jaquith Court from Prairie Avenue to a point 70 feet east
<br />Of the east line -of Chapin Street as follows to —wit: —
<br />Beginning at the center of Prairie
<br />Avenue and Jaquith Court; thence north westerly along the center line of Jaquith Court
<br />to the first angle west of Prairie Avenue with a 12 inch vitrified pipe sewer; thence west
<br />along the center of said Jagaith Court to a point 70 feet east of the east line of
<br />Chapin Street with a 12 inch vitrified pipe sewer. Together with the necessary manholes,
<br />inlets, conduits and house connections to the curb line along line of said improvement.
<br />All as shown on the plans,.and in accordance with the profiles, detail drawings, and
<br />specifications on file in the office oftthe Department of Public Works of the City
<br />of South Bend, Indiana.
