South Bend Redevelopment Commission
Regular Meeting — November 8, 2011
under city control have been demolished.
Mr. Relos responded that about half of them
have been demolished.
(2) Proposal for professional services related
to installation of dedication plaque at the
James Oliver sculpture.
Mr. Sikora noted that the final element to
complete the James Oliver Memorial Plaza
project is to have a plaque installed to
identify and recognize the sculptor of the
James Oliver sculpture. The plaque was part
of the city's contractual obligations in
commissioning the sculpture.
This professional service proposal will allow
Danch, Hamer & Associates, the project
designer, to coordinate the design, fabrication
and installation of the dedication plaque.
South Bend Monuments has helped with
initial pricing of the plaque and the total
projected cost of the entire process is $1,200.
Staff requests approval of a not -to- exceed
budget of $1,500 to cover any unforeseen
expenses that might arise during the design,
fabrication and installation process.
Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by
Ms. King and unanimously carried, the
Commission approved proposal for
professional services related to installation of
dedication plaque at the James Oliver
sculpture at a cost not to exceed $1,500.
(3) Resolution No. 2956 a supplemental bond
resolution supplementing and amending
Resolution No. 1965, adopted on March
21, 2003, as previously supplemented and
amended by Resolution No. 2004, adopted
on September 5, 2003, and by Resolution
No. 2017, adopted on November 7, 2003,
13
COMMISSION APPROVED PROPOSAL FOR
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES RELATED TO
INSTALLATION OF DEDICATION PLAQUE AT THE
JAMES OLIVER SCULPTURE AT A COST NOT TO
EXCEED $1,500.
