"This <br />Bill proposes to voluntarily annex contiguous territory in Portage Township to the City of South Bend. The <br />resolution indicates the approval and adoption by the Common Council of the Written plan and policy attached <br />thereto concerning the provision of services, both capital and non-capital in nature, to the territory to be annexed. <br />This Annexation is a 26.2 acre parcel generally located east of Eddy Street, west of Ivy Road and south of <br />Edison Road. Public improvements are planned for this area and it is anticipated that they ~vilT be completed at the <br />expense of the developer. Please note that on page 9 of the fiscal plan that additional development criteria are being <br />required in the context of Ciry Plan and have been satisfied in anticipation of this resolution. <br />I am requesting that the attached resolution be placed on the October 23, 2006 agenda of the Common <br />Council meeting at which the companion Bill is given Second Reading.
