REVISED 9/17/04 <br />REVISED 12/08/04 <br />ORDINANCE NO . ` ~ ~ 1 ~ O <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE <br />FOR PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE 2600 BLOCK OF PRAIRIE AVE., COUNCILMANIC DISTRICT <br />NO. 6, IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br />PARCEL I IS PRESENTLY ZONED "SF1" SINGLE FAMILY AND TWO FAMILY DISTRICT AND "LB" <br />LOCAL BUSINESS DISTRICT, THE PROPERTY IS REQUESTED TO GO TO THE "LB" LOCAL <br />BUSINESS DISTRICT TO ALLOW FOR BUILDINGS CONTAINING SMALL RETAIL SHOPS AND <br />OFFICES. PARCEL. II IS PRESENTLY ZONED "SF1" SINGLE FAMILY AND TWO FAMILY <br />DISTRICT. THE PROPERTY IS REQUESTED TO GO TO THE "ME2" HIGH DENSITY MULTIFAMILY <br />DISTRICT TO ALLOW FOR A MULTIFAMILY DEVELOPMENT. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA: <br />SECTION I. ORDINANCE NO. 9495-04, IS AMENDED, WHICH ORDINANCE IS COMMONLY <br />KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, BE AND THE <br />SAME HEREBY IS AMENDED IN ORDER THAT THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF THE FOLLOWING <br />DESCRIBED REAL ESTATE IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, STATE OF <br />INDIANA: <br />PARCEL I. (REZONING TO THE "LB" LOCAL BUSINESS DISTRICT): <br />THAT PART OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 22, TOWNSHIP 37 NORTH, RANGE 2 <br />EAST, PORTAGE TOWNSHIP, CITY OF SOUTH BEND, ST.
