South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting — October 11, 2011 <br />planning budget. Mr. Schalliol responded <br />yes, it's been in the planning budget for years <br />and has now come to the forefront due to the <br />project being back on the table. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by <br />Mr. Alford and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved funding for the <br />Regional Fire Training Center project in the <br />amount of $206,900. <br />C. West Washington- Chapin Development Area <br />There was no business in the West Washington - <br />Chapin Development Area. <br />D. South Side Development Area <br />There was no business in the South Side <br />Development Area. <br />E. Northeast Neighborhood Development Area <br />(1) Request authorization to pursue <br />amendment to the Northeast <br />Neighborhood Development Area <br />Development Plan. <br />Mr. Sikora noted the Northeast <br />Neighborhood Development Area <br />Development Plan was originally adopted in <br />2003, with an amendment completed in 2007 <br />which created the Residential TIF Allocation <br />Area. Since the Northeast Neighborhood <br />Development Area was established there <br />have been a number of significant changes in <br />the area that should be considered when <br />moving forward with future development. <br />This amendment will make the Development <br />Plan better reflect the future goals for the <br />area by taking into account recent, or soon to <br />24 <br />COMMISSION APPROVED FUNDING FOR THE <br />REGIONAL FIRE TRAINING CENTER PROJECT IN <br />THE AMOUNT OF $206,900. <br />
