AGENDA REVIEW SESSION SEPTEMBER 21 2011 46 <br />ATTEST: <br />JidaM .Martin, Cler <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION SEPTEMBER 21, 2011 <br />The Board of Public Safety met in the Executive Session on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at 8 :30 <br />a.m. The meeting was held in the Mayor's Conference Room, 14th Floor, County City Building, <br />South Bend, Indiana, for the purposes specified in I.C. 5- 14- 1.5 -6.1 (b) (2) (B) and (b) (6) (A). <br />Board Members Patrick Cottrell, Bruce BonDurant, Laura Vasquez, and Eddie Miller were present. <br />Also present were Police Chief Darryl Boykins, Assistant Fire Chief Howard Buchanan, and <br />Attorney Thomas Bodnar. Board members did not discuss any subject matter other than the subject <br />matter as specified in the Public Notice. Martin, <br />Cle k <br />REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 21, 2011 <br />The Board of Public Safety met in the regular meeting at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, September 21, <br />2011, with Board Members Patrick Cottrell, Bruce Bondurant, Laura Vasquez, and Eddie Miller <br />present. Also present were Police Chief Darryl Boykins, Assistant Fire Chief Mark Nowicki and <br />Board Attorney Thomas Bodnar. Jennifer Corle, Engineering, was present in the place of the Clerk <br />of the Board, Linda Martin. <br />The meeting was held in the Board of Public Works Meeting Room, 13th Floor County City <br />Building, South Bend, Indiana. <br />ACCEPT MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS <br />Mr. Cottrell advised that if there were no objections by members of the Board, the Minutes of the <br />Public Agenda Session, Police Selection Panel, Executive Session, and Regular Meetings of the <br />Board held on August 17, 2011 would be accepted as presented. <br />APPROVE DUTY MANUAL CHANGES FROM 2007 TO PRESENT <br />In a letter to the Board, Chief Boykins informed the Board that Changers were made to the Duty <br />Manual from 2007 to the present. Submission of these changes was overlooked since the Police <br />Chief change in 2007. Following is a list of those changes: <br />Changes made without a section are in the form of a general order <br />2007 <br />• January 10, 2007 Mobile Video /Audio Recording Section IV <br />January 10, 2007 Reporting Vehicle Pursuits Section 1I, III, added subsections to 1, J, and <br />K <br />
