South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting — September 27, 2011 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />C. Airport Economic Development Area <br />(3) Resolution No. 2859 adopting a <br />Declaration of Covenants and Easements <br />for Ignition Park. <br />Mr. Inks requested that this item be tabled <br />until further notice. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Varner, seconded by COMMISSION TABLED RESOLUTION No. 2859 <br />Mr. Downes and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission tabled Resolution No. 2859 <br />(4) Resolution No. 2918 approving and <br />authorizing the execution of an Addendum <br />to the Master Agency Agreement <br />(Regional Fire Training Center Project). <br />Mr. Sikora noted that the Regional Fire <br />Training Center is a multi - disciplinary public <br />safety project that has been in development <br />for the past 10 years by the City of South <br />Bend and in coordination with other local <br />public safety agencies. The proposed facility <br />will be located adjacent to the existing crash - <br />fire- rescue airplane fuselage training area on <br />the western end of the South Bend Regional <br />Airport on land owned by the St. Joseph <br />County Airport Authority. The center part of <br />the training center project will be a five story <br />tower with four distinct fagade types <br />(residential, commercial, industrial, and <br />apartment) that will be used to train on <br />exterior and interior fire fighting. <br />The purpose of this Addendum is to provide <br />predevelopment funds for the project to <br />move it forward this calendar year. The <br />Addendum has four sub - projects which relate <br />to specific vendor contracts (Projects 1 -3) for <br />18 <br />
