MAJOR CAPITAL PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br />FOR YEARS 2005 - 2008 <br />Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) $5,320,000 (2005-2008) <br />Long-Term Control Plan <br />This project is needed for implementation of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System <br />permit attachment A requirements to reduce; the frequency and severity of CSO events and prioritize <br />elimination of basement flooding. This wall need to ramp up to meet knee-of--the curve floor for <br />water quality improvement. The <br />nine minimum controls and maintenance of'Long Term Control Plan projects will cost on the order <br />of $500,000 per year over the next 20 year:>. <br />CENTURY CENTER <br />Convention Hall "C" Upgrades <br />$810,000 (2007) <br />When the Studebaker Museum Board was created and the original factory showroom in downtown <br />South Bend was acquired, the Studebaker Museum was transferred from the Century Center. This <br />transfer freed this space for convention usE;.
