Install a minimum of an additional 12" of blown -in cellulose insulation in attic area, the <br />insulation is to be mechanically blown into area. All homes with soffiting are to have baffles attached to roof <br />deck or rafters to prevent over blow into soffit areas (regardless if ventilation is present). <br />Attic access openings (hatches or pull down stairs) are to be insulated with a fiberglass batting to at lease an R- <br />30 and weather - stripped to prevent air movement. The insulation is to be mechanically fastened to access <br />panel to prevent misalignment. The insulation shall extend to the edge of opening, and shall be contained <br />(dammed) in such a way to prevent insulation from falling into opening. Walls are to permanently plugged <br />after insulating of cavity, interior walls will need to inspected to insure area is sealed to prevent blowout into <br />other areas of home. <br />Care is to be taken NOT to block or cover any au transfer equipment or any non - contact rated electrical <br />fixtures and assures none are within the minimum required safe distance to combustible materials as dictated <br />by all pertaining codes and manufactures recommendations. Clean,kitchen and bathroom exhausts and reroute <br />exhaust ducting to directly vent to the exterior of home.
