RESOLUTION NO. 1418 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT <br />COMMISSION ACCEPTING THE TRANSFER OF <br />CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY FROM <br />ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIANA <br />WHEREAS, St. Joseph County, Indiana, (hereinafter, the <br />"County ") is the owner of various parcels of land within the City <br />of South Bend, which were obtained by the County pursuant to the <br />tax sale process; and <br />WHEREAS, the care, custody and control of County real estate <br />is vested in the County's Board of Commissioners pursuant to I.C. <br />36- 2- 3.5 -4; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Indiana, Department of <br />Redevelopment, acting by and through the South Bend Redevelopment <br />Commission (hereinafter, the "Commission ") desires to obtain <br />ownership of 4 such parcels of property for purposes, which parcels <br />are described more particularly as follows: <br />18- 7015 -0579 626 Pennsylvania <br />18- 7016 -0628 <br />18- 7016 -0773 <br />18- 7019 -0784 717 E. Wenger <br />Legal <br />Lot 149 Wenger & Kreighbaum <br />Replat Of Wenger 6th <br />Lot 141 Wenger & Kreighbaum <br />Replat Of Wenger 6th Addition <br />Lot 35 Wengers 3rd Addition <br />Lot 45 Wengers 3rd Addition <br />WHEREAS, the Commission has requested that the County transfer <br />the parcels described above to the City of South Bend on behalf of <br />its Department of Redevelopment; and <br />WHEREAS, the County is willing to transfer said parcels to the <br />Commission upon payment of One Dollar ($1.00) per parcel and the <br />Commission's agreement to assume any recording costs associated <br />with the transfer; and <br />WHEREAS, I.C. 36- 1 -11 -8 provides for the transfer of real <br />property between governmental entities by adoption of substantially <br />equivalent resolutions; and <br />WHEREAS, the County's Board of Commissioners has adopted or <br />will adopt a resolution substantially equivalent to this resolution <br />setting forth the terms and conditions of this transfer of real <br />estate between the County and the Commission. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the South Bend Redevelopment <br />
