GaAL: The City's Workforce <br />Improve the City government's existing workforce, work environment and human development <br />systems to ensure that South Bend has the human resources necessary to achieve all its goals for <br />the next five years. <br />City Mission Statement and De artrnent Pur ose Statements <br />The City provides services to its customers through thirteen administrative departments. These <br />departments have unique purposes that are intended to support the citywide mission statement <br />which is "to be recognized as a model city."
