TRUST AND AGENCY FUNDS <br />Pension Trust Funds <br />1925 Police Pension - To account for the provision of retirement and disability benefts to police <br />off cers hired prior to May 1, 1977. Financing is provided by mandatory <br />contributions by active members, state pension relief distributions, and a <br />specific annual property tax levy. <br />1937 Firefighters' Pension - To account for the provision of retirement and disability benefits to fire- <br />fighters hired prior to May 1, 1977. Financing is provided by mandatory <br />contributions by active members, state pension relief distributions, and a <br />specific annual property tax levy. <br />Expendable Trust Fund <br />Cemetery Trust - To account for donations and a portion of the proceeds from the sale of <br />cemetery lots, These funds are available for maintenance of City ceme- <br />teries. <br />Aaencv Fund <br />Payroll - To account for the payroll of City employees and pension benefits of the <br />Police and Firefighters' Pension Funds. Gross payroll and pension benefts <br />are treated as expenditures in other City funds and transferred into this fund, <br />which serves as a clearing account. <br />all <br />
