ORDINANCE NO. <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br /> INDIANA, APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF 51,498,700 FROM ECONOMIC <br /> DEVELOPMENT INCOME TAX (EDIT) FUND #408 FOR <br /> INFRASTRUCTURE INVESTMENT <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br /> Steel Warehouse, an industrial concern, located at Riverside Boulevard and Angela Street <br /> in South Bend, Indiana, has decided, after weighing other options, to expand its facility at its <br /> South Bend site. This expansion will retain the existing labor force and will add new positions in <br /> South Bend. It is desirable for South Bend to provide infrastructure improvement to <br /> accommodate the Steel Warehouse expansion consisting of lining and strengthening an existing <br /> 96" CSO trunk sewer pipe (360 feet). This appropriation will cover the cost of that infrastructure <br /> improvement. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA as follows: <br /> SECTION I. The sum of One Million Four Hundred Ninety-Eight Thousand Dollars <br /> ($1,498,000) be and hereby is appropriated and set aside within EDIT Fund 11408 for purpose of <br /> infrastructure investment at the Steel Warehouse expansion site. <br /> SECTION II.
