RESOLUTION NO. 1489 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />RECOGNIZING JENNY PITTS MANIER FOR DISTINGUISHED SERVICE TO THE <br />SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION AND THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />WHEREAS, Jenny Pitts Manier has been the attorney for the South Bend Redevelopment <br />Commission since September 1990; and <br />WHEREAS, during her tenure Jenny has served the Commission with patience, <br />perseverance, dedication, hard work, long hours, and attention to detail and this has enabled the <br />Commission to move forward on its projects; and <br />WHEREAS, Jenny has written countless contracts, development agreements, leases, and <br />deeds and has reviewed numerous purchase offers, easements, bond issues, quiet titles, and other <br />documents; and <br />WHEREAS, Jenny has withstood the demands that have been put on her from countless <br />condemnations and deadlines; and <br />WHEREAS, without her excellent assistance the Commission would not have been able to <br />proceed with projects such as the Blackthorn Corporate Park, Blackthorn Golf Course, Central <br />High School Apartments, Stephenson Mill Apartments, St. Joseph County Juvenile Justice <br />Center, the new location for Ivy Tech, the College Football Hall of Fame, the new apartments at <br />Robertson's, Southeast Heritage Homes, West Washington Homes and other projects too <br />numerous to mention; and <br />WHEREAS, Jenny has never forgotten the public that she serves and has always been <br />committed to making South Bend an excellent place to live; and <br />WHEREAS, Jenny has now decided to serve the State of Indiana in the same way she has <br />quietly served the South Bend Redevelopment Commission and the City of South Bend, <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SOUTH BEND <br />REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION, governing body of the City of South Bend Department of <br />Redevelopment, that Jenny Pitts Manier be recognized for her distinguished service to the South <br />Bend Redevelopment Commission and the City of South Bend. <br />..
