�J <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1506 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT <br />COMMISSION APPROVING A PROPOSED LEASE BETWEEN THE <br />SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY AND THE SOUTH BEND <br />REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION FOR CERTAIN LAND AND PUBLIC <br />IMPROVEMENTS, APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS <br />AND COST ESTIMATES, SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED <br />LEASE PURSUANT TO IC 36 -7 -14 -25.2, AND AUTHORIZING <br />PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF THE PUBLIC HEARING <br />WHEREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission (the "Commission ") has <br />previously entered into a lease with the South Bend Redevelopment Authority (the "Authority ") <br />dated as of March 1, 1992, as amended by an Addendum to Lease between the Authority and the <br />Commission dated as of August 7, 1992 (collectively, the "Original Lease "), whereby the <br />Authority currently leases to the Commission certain real estate and a building located thereon <br />commonly known as the Palais Royale in the City of South Bend, Indiana (the "Palais Royale "); <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Commission desires to amend and restate the Original Lease by <br />entering into and adopting a proposed Amended and Restated Lease to be dated as of May 1, <br />1997 (the "Lease "), with the Authority in the form presented at this meeting, a copy of which is <br />attached hereto as Exhibit A for the purpose of additionally leasing improvements from the <br />Authority which will consist of the acquisition, construction, renovation and equipping of the <br />Morris Performing Arts Center which includes certain portions of the Palais Royale and the <br />adjacent facility known as the Morris Civic Center (the "Project "); and <br />
