SOUTH BEND BOARD OF PARK COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OCTOBER 15, 2007 <br />The Board of Park Commissioners of the Park District of the City of South Bend, Indiana met on <br />Monday the 15th of October 2007 at the O'Brien Administration & Recreation Center, 321 E. <br />Walter St., South Bend, Indiana for its regular meeting. Notice of the date, time and place of the <br />meeting were duly given as required by law. <br />Park Board members present were as follows: <br />Mr. Robert Henry, President <br />Mr. Robert Goodrich, Vice President <br />Dr. Thomas Kelly <br />Mr. Garrett Mullins <br />Park Board members absent were as follows: <br />None <br />Staff members present: Phil St. Clair, Superintendent; Bill Carleton, Fiscal Officer; Paul McMinn, <br />Assistant Recreation Director; Randy Nowacki, Director of-Golf Operations; Terry DeRosa, Zoo <br />Director; Mark Bradley, Director of Marketing & Promotions; Matthew Moyers, Special Projects <br />Manager; Mike Dyszkiewicz, Maintenance Superintendent; Thomas Bodnar, Park Board Attorney <br />L The meeting was called to order b~~ Board President Robert Henry at 4:02 p.m. <br />II. The first order of business was the interviewing of interested citizens. <br />Botanical Society <br />Ms. Martha Lewis of the botanical Society informed the Board that a newsletter will be <br />mailed in a week to promote 2008 memberships. A volunteer appreciation dinner is <br />being planned for November and holiday decorations are being prepared. The SO1C-3 <br />letter has been received. <br />III. Tl~e next order of business was unfinished business. <br />There was no unfinished business. <br />IV. The next order of business was new business. <br />1. Opening of Quotes for Potawatomi Zoo Architectural Services- Mike Dyszkiewicz <br />Mr. Dyszkiewicz presented three sealed quotes to the Board. They were opened and read <br />aloud. They consisted o£ <br />Kil Architecture/Planning- Phase 1- $55,000 <br />Alt 1 (Flamingo)- $9,000 <br />Alt 2 (Water Feature Investigation)- $12,000 <br />-1- <br />
