C <br />,. <br />Resolution No. 1541 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMUSSION <br />APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY <br />TO THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Indiana, Department of <br />Redevelopment (Redevelopment) is the owner of the following <br />described real property situated in St. Joseph County, Indiana: <br />Lot Numbered Seventy -one (71) as shown on the recorded <br />Plat of Haney's Addition to the City of South Bend, St. <br />Joseph County, Indiana, recorded May 5, 1892 in the <br />Office of the Recorder of St. Joseph County, Indiana, <br />in Plat Book 6, page 13. Key No. 18- 7025 -0990. <br />Commonly known as 233 Broadway <br />(hereinafter referred to as the Real Property),and; <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to I.C. 36- 7 -14 -3, the South Bend <br />Redevelopment Commission (Commission) is the governing body of <br />the City of South Bend, Department of Redevelopment and, pursuant <br />to I.C. 36 -7 -14 -12.2 may dispose of the Real Property; and <br />WHEREAS, the Commission, is desirous of transferring the <br />property to the City of South Bend, Indiana, for the sum of Ten <br />Dollars ($10.00); and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to I.C. 36- 1 -11 -8, Redevelopment, acting <br />through the Commission and the City, acting by and through the <br />Board of Public Works (Board), may exchange or transfer property <br />with one another upon terms and conditions agreed upon by the two <br />(2) entities as evidenced by the adoption of substantially <br />identical resolutions of each entity; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works, at its meeting of <br />, 1997 will consider its Resolution No. % 7 -M7, <br />accepting the transfer of the Real Property from the City of <br />South Bend, for the use and benefit of its Department of <br />Redevelopment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SOUTH BEND <br />REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. That the transfer of the Real Property situated in St. <br />Joseph County, Indiana, and generally described as follows: <br />Lot Numbered Seventy -one (71) as shown on the recorded <br />Plat of Haney's Addition to the City of South Bend, St. <br />Joseph County, Indiana, recorded May 5, 1892 in the <br />Office of the Recorder of St. Joseph County, Indiana, <br />in Plat Book 6, page 13.
