Resolution No. 1705 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY <br />TO THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Indiana, Department of Redevelopment <br />(Redevelopment) is the owner of the following described real property situated in St. Joseph <br />County, Indiana: <br />Parcel I. Lots Numbered Fifty -five (55), Fifty -six (56) and Fifty -seven (57) as shown on the <br />recorded Plat of Samuel Martin's Addition to the Town, now City of South Bend, recorded in the Office of <br />the Recorder of St. Joseph County, in Plat Book 3, page 28, together with the West Half (1h) of the vacated <br />alley lying East and adjacent to Lots Fifty -five (55), Fifty -six (56) and Fifty -seven (57) and together with <br />the North Half (%) of the vacated alley lying South and adjacent to said Lot Fifty -seven (57), and <br />Parcel H. The South Half (1h) of Lot Numbered Forty-four and all of Lot Forty -five (45) as shown <br />on the recorded Plat of Samuel Martin's Addition to the Town, now City of South Bend, recorded in the <br />Office of the Recorder of St. Joseph County, Indiana, in Plat Book 3, page 28, together with the East Half <br />(1h) of the vacated alley lying West of and adjacent to said parcel and together with the North Half (%) of <br />i+ the vacated alley lying South of and adjacent to said Lot Forty-five (45), <br />(collectively hereinafter referred to as the Real Property),and; <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to I.C. 36- 7 -14 -3, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />(Commission) is the governing body of the City of South Bend, Department of Redevelopment <br />and, pursuant to I.C. 36 -7 -14 -12.2 may dispose of the Real Property, and <br />WHEREAS, the Commission, is desirous of transferring the property to the South Bend <br />Redevelopment Authority (Authority) for the sum of Ten Dollars ($10.00); and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to I.C. 36- 1 -11 -8, Redevelopment, acting through the Commission <br />and the Authority may exchange or transfer property with one another upon terms and conditions <br />agreed upon by the two (2) entities as evidenced by the adoption of substantially identical <br />resolutions of each entity; and <br />CW WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Authority, at its meeting of July 8 , 1999, <br />will consider its Resolution No. 135 , accepting the transfer of the Real Property from South <br />Bend Redevelopment Commission. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SOUTH BEND <br />REDEVELOPMENT COM IISSION AS FOLLOWS: <br />1.
