Resolution No. 1681 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />ACCEPTING THE TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY <br />FROM THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />WHEREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Authority (the "Authority ") is the owner of <br />a parcel of real property (Real Property) situated in St. Joseph County, Indiana, more particularly <br />described on Exhibit A; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to I.C. 36 -7- 14.5 -12, the Authority may dispose of real property; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Authority desires to transfer the Real Property to the City of South <br />Bend, for the use and benefit of its Department of Redevelopment in order that it be sold and <br />developed; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Department of Redevelopment, acting by and <br />through its governing body, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission desires to acquire the <br />Real Property from the Authority; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to I.C. 36- 1 -11 -8, the Authority may exchange or transfer property <br />with another governmental entity upon terms and conditions agreed upon by the two (2) entities <br />as evidenced by the adoption of substantially identical resolutions of each entity; and <br />WHEREAS, the Authority, at its meeting on April 5, 1999, adopted Resolution No. 134, <br />approving the transfer of the Real Property to the City of South Bend, for the use and benefit of <br />its Department of Redevelopment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SOUTH BEND <br />REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. That the transfer of the Real Property situated in St. Joseph County, Indiana, and <br />described on the attached Exhibit A, by the South Bend Redevelopment Authority to the City of <br />South Bend, for the use and benefit of its Department of Redevelopment, shall be, and hereby is, <br />accepted. <br />2. That the Director of Redevelopment for the City of South Bend shall cause the <br />recording of the quit -claim deed conveying all of the right, title and interest of the South Bend <br />Redevelopment Authority in and to the Real Property to the City of South Bend, for the use and <br />benefit of its Department of Redevelopment. <br />HAWPDATA \RESOLUT\RES 1681 <br />
