REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 22, 2007 212 "COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT" IN THE DEPARTMENT OF CONINIUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT This bill had first reading. Councilmember Puzzello made a motion to refer this bill to the Community and Economic Development Committee and set it for Public Hearing and Third Reading on November 12, 2007. Councilmember Varner seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of eight (8) ayes. UNFINISHED BUSINESS REPORT FROM AREA PLAN COMMISSION BILL NO. 53-07 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 3030 NORTHSIDE BLVD, COUNCILMANIC DISTRICT 3 IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA Councilmember Varner made a motion to refer this bill to the Zoning and Annexation Committee and set it for Public Hearing and Third Reading on November 12, 2007. Councilmember Pfeifer seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of eight (8) ayes. NEW BUSINESS Councilmember Kirsits advised that the Zoning & Annexation Committee will be taking a Walking Tour of Marquette Primary Center on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. He further noted that the Walking Tour scheduled for Madison Primary Center originally scheduled for Thursday, October 25, 2007 has been cancelled due to Parent-Teacher Conferences being held that evening. The tour has been rescheduled to Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. Councilmember White, Chairperson, Health and Public Safety Committee advised that she would like a comprehensive review and status update of the Quality of Life/Scrap Metal Ordinance. Councilmember Pfeifer noted that if the ordinance is not being enforced she would like to know what it will take to get the Quality of Life/Scrap Metal Ordinance enforced. PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR There was no one present wishing to address the Council at this time.
