Washington Street; thence East along said South right -of -way line to the <br />West right -of -way line of Chapin Street; thence North to the North right -of- <br />way line of Washington Street; thence East along said North right -of -way <br />line to the East right -of -way line of Williams Street; thence South to the <br />place of beginning containing 9.97 acres more or less. The Total acreage <br />after said exception is 322.3 acres more or less. <br />(3). The previously prepared maps and plats showing the boundaries of the West <br />Washington- Chapin Development Area, as modified herein, showing the location of the <br />various parcels of property, streets, alleys and other features affecting the acquisition, <br />clearance, replatting, replanning, rezoning or redevelopment of said area and parts of the <br />area that are to be devoted to public ways, levees, sewerage, parks, parks, playgrounds and <br />other public purposes under the plan for redevelopment of the West Washington- Chapin <br />Development Area as modified herein are hereby approved. <br />(4). The proposed amendment to the Development Plan to replace pages 2a, 4a, 5a, 6a, <br />7a, 10a, 11 a and 16h with pages 2a-2,4a-2, 5a -2, 6a -2 -i, 6a -2 -ii, 7a -2, 10a -2, 11 a -2 and 16h- <br />2, as attached hereto is hereby in all respects approved. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT <br />COMMISSION CONCERNING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN ALLOCATION AREA <br />FOR PURPOSES OF TAX INCREMENT FINANCING THAT: <br />(5). The West Washington- Chapin Allocation Area ( "West Washington- Chapin <br />Allocation Area No. 1 A ") is hereby reduced to delete Reduction Area No. 1 as described in <br />the fifth WHEREAS clause above, so that the boundaries of the allocation area and the West <br />Washington- Chapin Development Area as described in Paragraph (2), above, are <br />coterminous. <br />(6). Any taxes levied on property imposed under I.C. 6 -1.1 in the allocation area, as <br />modified herein, shall be allocated, distributed and used as provided in Resolution No. 818, <br />as amended, and the Act. The allocation area as modified herein shall be hereinafter known <br />as "West Washington- Chapin Allocation Area No. lA ". <br />(7). The allocation provision for the area described as Reduction Area No. l shall expire <br />upon execution of this Resolution No. 2000. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all other findings, determinations and conclusions in <br />Resolution No. 818 , as amended from time -to -time, shall remain as stated therein. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the United States of America is hereby assured of full <br />compliance by the South Bend Redevelopment Commission with regulations of the Department of <br />Housing and Urban Development ( "HUD ") effectuating Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, <br />as amended. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary is hereby directed to file with the Office <br />of the Recorder for St. Joseph County, Indiana a certified copy of Resolution No. 2000, the West <br />Washington- Chapin Development Area Development Plan, as amended, with the minutes of this <br />meeting. <br />L -9- <br />
