South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting — August 9, 2011 <br />judgment of the Mayor, and the majority of <br />City Council, that the City of South Bend <br />needs this facility in order to properly do its <br />job with regard to animal control. Mayor <br />Luecke responded yes. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by <br />Mr. Alford and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the request from Code <br />Enforcement for additional funds for <br />construction of Animal Shelter in the amount <br />of $400,000. <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />A. Housing <br />(1) Loan and Grant in connection with the <br />South Bend Home Improvement Program <br />for property located at 1002 Evergreen <br />Lane (Patricia Heminger). <br />Mr. Inks noted that the loan is $3,800; the <br />grant is $3,613.50. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by <br />Mr. Alford and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the loan and grant in <br />connection with the South Bend Home <br />Improvement Program for property located at <br />1002 Evergreen Lane. <br />(2) Loan and Grant in connection with the <br />South Bend Home Improvement Program <br />for property located at 710 S. 30th Street <br />(Patricia K. Metz). <br />Mr. Inks noted that the loan $3,300; the grant <br />is $3,132. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by <br />Mr. Varner and unanimously carried, the <br />7 <br />COMMISSION APPROVEDTHE REQUEST FROM <br />CODE ENFORCEMENT FOR ADDITIONAL FUNDS <br />FOR CONSTRUCTION OF ANIMAL SHELTER IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $400,000 <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE LOAN AND GRANT <br />IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOUTH BEND HOME <br />IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FOR PROPERTY <br />LOCATED AT 1002 EVERGREEN LANE. <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE LOAN AND GRANT <br />IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOUTH BEND HOME <br />IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FOR PROPERTY <br />
