South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting — August 9, 2011 <br />is estimated that the total cost of this project <br />will be $592,250, which includes <br />professional services to design and oversee <br />the work. Staff requests approval of <br />Resolution No. 2923 and a not -to- exceed <br />amount of $600,000 for the project. <br />Mr. Varner asked to identify the funding <br />source. Mr. Relos replied the SBCDA. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Varner, seconded by <br />Mr. Downes and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved Resolution No. 2923 <br />approving an Addendum to the Master <br />Agency Agreement for the Century Center <br />Island Pavilion and Wall Repair in the not -to- <br />exceed amount of $600,000. <br />(5) Proposal for planning services for minor <br />subdivision, special exception and variance <br />petitions (HDC properties in Monroe <br />Park). <br />Mr. Sikora noted that staff solicited a <br />proposal from Danch, Hamer & Associates <br />to provide planning services to bring seven <br />city -owned properties (currently managed <br />through the Housing Development <br />Corporation) and one vacant lot into <br />compliance with code and zoning ordinances. <br />When the city's lease with HDC draws to a <br />close, the HDC plans to sell the properties. <br />The compliance is necessary if they are to be <br />sold. <br />Part I of the proposal will prepare 12 Special <br />Use and multiple Variance Petitions for the <br />reconfigured home sites, including <br />preliminary site plans, application forms, <br />notice of public hearings, notice to adjacent <br />owners, and representation at Board of <br />Zoning Appeals public hearings and <br />13 <br />COMMISSION APPROVED RESOLUTION NO. 2923 <br />APPROVING AN ADDENDUM TO THE MASTER <br />AGENCY AGREEMENT FOR THE CENTURY <br />CENTER ISLAND PAVILION AND WALL REPAIR IN <br />THE NOT -TO- EXCEED AMOUNT OF $600,000 <br />
