2001 Mid America takes over management of the Scottsdale Mall <br />2002 (October - December) South Bend Redevelopment <br />Commission begins process to declare the Ireland Road and <br />Michigan Street Corridors a development area <br />(November - January) South Bend Redevelopment <br />Commission begins process to declare a sales tax increment <br />finance district around with the Erskine Hills sub -area of the <br />South Side Development Area. <br />C. Boundaries <br />The legal description of the South Side Development Area is attached as <br />Exhibit C and is represented by Map 1. In general, the project area <br />extends from Ironwood Drive to Lafayette Street along the Ireland Road <br />Corridor and from the Bypass to Ewing along the Michigan and Main <br />Street Corridor. The project area is approximately two miles wide along <br />the Ireland Road Corridor and two miles high along the Michigan and Main <br />Street Corridor. The total acreage of the development area is XXXX <br />acres. <br />D. Land Use <br />The present land use mix totals approximately XXXX acres and is <br />composed of a variety of uses including residential, industrial, <br />commercial /retail, institutional, park/open space and vacant land. Map 5 <br />shows the land uses within the development area.
